Bangkok: The State of Qatar has affirmed that it has proved through the unjust and unjustified siege the strength of social, political and economic stability.
This came in a statement during the first meeting of the working group of the member states of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) on promoting sustainable approach and development in which Ambassador of Qatar to Thailand H E Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al Thani participated. The statement said that the social solidarity, which included citizens and residents, had the greatest impact on increasing internal cohesion and the cohesion of the social fabric.
The strength of the Qatari economy also played a key role in maintaining financial and economic stability thanks to strong political reserves, according to the statement.
The statement reviewed the main pillars of Qatar’s experience in sustainable development and the prospects of supporting the economy and opening the way for citizens and national institutions to contribute to the advancement of development, as well as for the foreign investment to diversify sources of political income. The statement noted the speech of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on July 12 in which he said to the people of Qatar:“We require diligence, creativity, independent thinking, constructive initiatives and interest in academic achievement in all disciplines.”
