Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (Qatar 2022) to set up a general public health clinic at the SC headquarters.
The clinic will provide general medical services and receive employees from companies and government agencies located in the building.
It will also receive emergency cases in Al Beda’a Tower and provide immediate treatment and referrals according to the cases.
Dr. Samya Al Abdulla, Executive Director, Operation Department, PHCC, signed the MoU with Saleh Al Muhannadi, Director, Business Support, SC.
Dr. Al Abdulla said the signing of the MoU reflects our belief in the role of comprehensive primary health care in all sectors and stresses the important role played by SC.
“Today, we are delighted to sign the agreement between PHCC and the main partner relating to Qatar World Cup 2022,” she told a press conference.
“The national strategy for primary healthcare stipulates the provision of better primary health care services for citizens and residents.
“We look forward to further constructive cooperation to achieve visions and ambitions of Qatar National Vision 2030,” she added.
Al Muhannadi praised cooperation with PHCC and said the MoU stipulates the setting up of a general medical clinic at the headquarters of the Medical Commission in Al Beda’a Tower.
He said the MoU is the nucleus for further cooperation and praised the PHCC’s key role in the health service sector in the country.
He said the clinic is part of SC’s strategy to provide all services for their employees, especially in the medical field, to ensure smooth work and achieve the goals down to organising a distinctive version of the World Cup in 2022.
He also thanked PHCC, Dr.  Al Abdulla and PHCC employees for continued support and cooperation with SC.
