Doha: The Kulluna for Health and Safety Campaign took its message of the importance of child car seats to the GCC Traffic Week conducted by the Ministry of Interior at Darb El-Saai.

The 31st GCC Traffic Week under the theme ‘Your decision determines your destiny’ saw participation of up to 60 government and non-governmental entities, each holding activities to promote safe road use and driving practices.
The week included a display of car seats available in Qatar and workshops by Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians on how to fit car seats correctly. Visitors were able to seek advice from Kulluna’s safety experts about the appropriate car seat for their children.
“We were proud to be asked to participate in GCC Traffic Week again as it highlights measures each and every one of us can take on a personal level to make our roads safer,” said Dr Khalid Abdulnoor Saifeldeen, Chairman, Kulluna, and Director, Hamad International Training Centre (HITC).
“Many parents who use car seats often have them incorrectly installed and technicians can spot mistakes and show them how to fix the errors to ensure their children are safe. It is essential to select the appropriate seat for every child depending on his/her height and weight. Car-related injuries are preventable and by educating people at events like GCC Traffic Week, we are able to spread awareness about the importance of car seats.” Kulluna and HITC run regular CPS courses for industry professionals and parents.
