Doha, Qatar: As part of strategic roadmap to expand international footprint and solidify Qatar’s status as a global hub for the Halal industry, Dar Al Sharq Group, represented by Al Sharq Media Management, recently participated in the Makkah Halal Forum.

This engagement serves as a key milestone in the international promotional circuit for the upcoming Halal Qatar Exhibition and Conference 2026, scheduled to take place from September 7 to 9, 2026, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Dar Al Sharq’s participation is part of a broader movement to attract major global corporations and institutions within the Halal sector. By fostering international partnerships with an aim to drive industrial evolution and unlock new horizons for investment and mutual cooperation.

During the forum, Dar Al Sharq representatives met with several high-ranking officials and decision-makers. Notably, Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Junaidi, Deputy Minister in the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, North Kuching City Commission, and Islamic Affairs), extended an official invitation to Dar Al Sharq Group to participate in the Malaysia Halal Expo.  This gesture highlights the international confidence in the growing prestige of the Halal Qatar exhibition on the global stage.

Furthering this bilateral synergy, an agreement was reached to invite specialised Malaysian Halal companies to invest and participate in Halal Qatar 2026. This initiative is expected to bolster trade exchange and establish new investment channels between Qatar and Malaysia, a recognized global leader in the Halal sector.

The forum also witnessed the formal exchange of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Eizeldin Abdelrahman, Executive Director of Al Sharq Media Management and Executive Director of the Halal Exhibition and Conference, and Mona Abdul Manap, Founder and CEO of Place Borneo and lead for the BIHAS 2026 exhibition.

The agreement focuses on enhancing mutual cooperation in organising specialised Halal sector events, and exchanging shared services for exhibitions held in both Malaysia and Doha.  Building an integrated regional and international platform that blends organisational, media, and investment expertise to meet the rising global demand for Halal products.

Dar Al Sharq Group continues to expand its international network to strengthen its role as a premier media and organisational partner for specialised economic events.

This strategy aligns with Qatar National Vision, which emphasizes economic diversification and the state’s role as a regional nexus for international business, exhibitions, and conferences.

The Halal Qatar Exhibition and Conference 2026 is anticipated to see record-breaking participation from local, regional, and international firms. The accompanying conference will address the latest developments in the Halal industry and highlight emerging investment opportunities, reinforcing the event’s position as a leading platform for strategic dialogue and partnership.
