Doha: Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khulaifi, President of Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) and chief executive of Asian Tennis Federation, praised the unlimited support extended by Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Qatari sports and tennis in particular, saying that this support contributed a great deal to achieving remarkable successes in different tournaments held in Qatar.
Al Khulaifi expressed his thanks and appreciation to H H the Emir for gracing the first round of the Qatar Total Open currently held at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The ongoing tournament will run until February 27.
He also thanked the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials who attended the first day of the tournament, adding that their presence was a great support and contributed to making Qatar Total Open a prestigious global event as well as an important event on the women’s tennis association agenda
