The 9th GCC Gulf Quality Conference with the theme ‘The Quality and Commitment of Leadership’ will be held on November 28 at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.
The conference is organised by Gulf Development Centre (GDC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MoI). This was announced at a press conference held at Officer's Club of the General Directorate of Civil Defense attended by Major Khalid Abdul Azeez Al Mohannadi, Asst. Director of Strategic Planning Department, Mohammed Saleh Al Kuwari, Chairman of Gulf Development Center and Captain Hadi Muhammad Al Hajiri, Head of Security Media at the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior. “The Ministry of Interior is committed to applying quality in its various departments to develop the work environment and to increase the level of services provided to people," Mohammed Saleh Al Kuwari, GDC president said yesterday at the press conference.
He said that the conference will discuss eight important topics. Expert from different GCC countries will present papers on Leadership role in expanding knowledge and willingness to make quantum leap, Leadership role in commitment to quality system and objectives achievement etc. He added that the conference will be attended by representatives from American and Society for Quality along with 250 participants from GCC countries. Major Khalid Abdul Azeez al Mohannadi said that the Ministry of Interior was committed to ensure comprehensive quality administration as it formed a special department for that in 2005 being the first Ministry in the state that set up such an initiative.
