Doha: Qatar has said it is following the current developments in the Republic of Chad with great concern, and called on all parties to avoid escalation, exercise maximum restraint, resort to the voice of reason and give priority to public national interest.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s hope that all parties would pursue dialogue as a way to overcome differences, and its aspiration to preserve the gains of Doha Peace Agreement in Chad, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Chadian people for peace, development and prosperity.
The Ministry affirmed Qatar’s full keenness to establish security and stability in the Republic of Chad.
