With an objective to learn about the natural and cultural resources of the harsh desert climate of Southern California and to understand the unique adaptations of plants and animals in the desert and geology, the sudents of MES Kindergarten had a virtual field trip to Joshua Tree National Park, California on October 20, 2020.
Park Ranger and the guest speaker from Joshua Tree National Park, Simone, shared the interesting information about the plants’ and animals’ adaptation in desert.
It was an interactive session, during which children understood the time difference between the two countries; it was sunset in Qatar whereas it was sun rise in California.
The kids also had the opportunity to see the real shell of tortoise, skin of Coyote and horns of wild horn sheep.
Students and teachers of kindergarten enjoyed the virtual field trip and got to know the stunning beauty of the desert and its vegetation.
