DPS-Modern Indian School organised a virtual award ceremony to honour the meritorious students of Grade X & XII (2019-20) whose persistent quest for success, dedication, sincerity and perseverance led them bask in the glory of excellence and achieve the seemingly impossible goals with ease and certitude.
The solemn occasion was virtually graced by the chief guest Vice-President DPS-MIS,Yasir Nainar; distinguished members of DPS-MIS executive committee; Principal, Asna Nafees; Vice Principals, Headmistress, key functionaries, proud parents and the young achievers.
The programme commenced with a prayer by Saumya Murgai, a student of Grade XI. The highlights of Grade XII and X results were presented by Academic Coordinator Grade XI & XII, Rakhi Mishra, and Academic Coordinator Grade IX & X, Vijayshree Nair.
DPS-MIS once again proved its mettle and maintained the legacy of achieving impeccable and exemplary 100 pass percentage for both the batches of 2019-20.
Najah Ismail, the school topper in Grade XII , secured the coveted position of the Gulf Topper in the science stream with an aggregate of 98.6 percentage. In Grade X, DPS-MIS school toppers grabbed the first three positions in Qatar. Sriram Malarvizhi Kumaran and Sudharsan Podhala Gopikrishna earned the title of Qatar Toppers with 98.2%.
Speaking on the occasion Vice-President DPS-MIS, Yasir Nainar lavished praises on the high achievers and advised them to remain tenacious, committed and resolute in their future endeavours, carrying forward the legacy of their alma mater.
The Principal, Asna Nafees, in her address, congratulated the star performers of Grade X and XII and expressed her pride in receiving the award of ‘excellence in academics’ in the Gulf region on behalf of the students for eight consecutive years.
“In 2019-20, DPS-MIS has outperformed again with Gulf topper in Grade XII and Qatar toppers in Grade X’ said she, ‘and the healthy school average between 85-90 is a clear indication of the fact that the last student is not left out,” said Asna Nafees.
