President of Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), Azim Abbas; Vice-Chairman, Gope Shahani; Birla Public School Principal A P Sharma; and others inaugurating the Higher Education Career Fair held at Birla Public School Doha.
Higher Education Fair 2019 at Birla Public School Doha got overwhelming response from the students and parents. Around 2,500 students and parents visited the two-day fair. The fair was inaugurated by the President of Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) Azim Abbas, Vice-Chairman of the School Management Gope Shahani, and Principal A P Sharma. Leadership team, teachers, staff members, parents and students were present on the occasion.
The school has a special programme for the senior students named ‘DISHA’- ‘Directing and Inspiring Students Advancement’. Organisation of the career fair is one of the events planned under this program.
The event aimed at providing first-hand information of varied range of higher education courses available in Qatar and foreign universities. Premium universities from UK, USA, UAE, Qatar and India showcased over 100 courses.
Information about higher education courses of all the three streams i.e. science, humanities and commerce was made available. Guidance on the admission procedures, eligibility criteria, scholarships, interest profile testing and personal statement writing was highly appreciated. Career Talks on the topics ‘Careers in Commerce’, ‘Careers in Banking and Finance’, ‘Careers of Future’, ‘Science of Success’, ‘Understanding the True Value of a Global Undergraduate Programme’, ‘What After Class Twelve’ and ‘Liberal Education - The Right Choice’ gave deeper insight to the students and parents to make prudent choice of higher education courses.
