She was appointed Minister of Communication and Information Technology on June 26, 2013. She was the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Communication and Information Technology. Holds a BA in Civil Engineering from the University of Kuwait. Completed her MA in Computer Science and PhD in computer science from George Washington University.
