• There were talks in social media about new regulation on glass and thermal insulation on cars by the Traffic Department to make it 5 or 10 percent tint instead of 20 percent.
• Several parents complained about a private school that informed them about the semester vacation decided by the school to be between February 9 and 13, 2014 instead of between January 26 and February 26, 2014 in accordance with a decision by the Minister of Education.
• People demanded to monitor the Independent schools and provide them with manpower to listen to complaints of teachers and workers who very often complain about arbitrary treatment by several schoolmasters.
• People questioned the delay in opening the Hamad Medical Town, and the reason behind it even after seven years of completion. They urged the Hamad Medical Corporation to speed up the opening as the town is expected to provide extra beds and rooms and end the long waiting list of patients.
• Several parents demanded that authorities develop regulations to organise the import and sale of toys and children’s games, and show the age of users to sell toys and games at specific shops instead of selling them anywhere.
• Many citizens demanded that authorities monitor the restaurants, cafeterias and grocery shops and said many of these outlets are selling food supplies such as rice, oils, milk and sugar.
• An Arabic daily reported that one of the private schools had pulled the science textbook of the preparatory level after reactions from people to what they considered an immoral picture in the book. They also asked the Supreme Education Council to further monitor the schools teaching such subjects.
