Cairo: Dr. Samia Bibars, Director, Inter-Civilisations Dialogue Department at Arab League, yesterday praised Qatar’s “significant” and “prominent” role in formulating an Arab Strategic Plan for Alliance of Civilisations.
Qatar has a significant role in the formulation of the strategy and a clear contribution to the development of relevant programmes and activities, she said on the sidelines of the first meeting of the working group monitoring implementation of the unified Arab strategy.
Dr. Bibars also highlighted Qatar’s keenness to participate in meetings dealing with the drafting of the strategy and praised efforts of Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Nasr, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations.
Qatar is a member of the team for implementation of the Arab strategic plan, along with Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
