Burgenstock Resort, Switzerland: The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Burgenstock Resort in Switzerland with HE Jean-Noël Barrot, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts being made to enhance security and stability in the region, following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the American and Iranian sides, to reach lasting solutions to the outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means.
The Prime Minister further noted that such efforts would enhance regional security, contribute to opening new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and achieve the common interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
