NIS students during an online yoga performance.
Noble International School (NIS) celebrated International Yoga Day adhering to the theme ‘Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family’. International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on June 21, since 2015, following its inception at the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.
To mark the day, NIS conducted inter-house online yoga performance competition to enrich the concept of healthy tomorrow by providing physical, mental and spiritual practice to the children. Principal Shibu Abdul Rasheed, in his speech, congratulated all the participants and said that yoga has a meditative component and spiritual core. The vice principals of NIS, Robin K Jose and Jaymon Joy congratulated the participants and asked the children to practise yoga as it is a posture-based physical fitness, stress relief and relaxation technique.
