DOHA: Students of Indian schools in Qatar fared well in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examinations held in March. The results were announced yesterday.
Birla Public School
A total of 193 students took the exams. Among them, 31 percent students scored 90 percent and above, 84 percent students scored above 75 percent and 99 percent students scored 60 percent and above.
The school said it maintained its top position among Indian schools for the second consecutive year by scoring an average of 84.07 percent.
In commerce stream, Christine Abraham Lesly topped with 95.6 percent. Anurag Srivastava topped with 96.20 percent in science stream.
DPS-Modern Indian School
Yogesh Parthasarathy topped with 97.4 aggregate percentage followed by S M Navheen with 97.2 percent in science stream and Anukriti Menon with 94.8 percent in commerce stream.
Shantiniketan Indian School
Vishaal M K from science stream was the school topper with 96.2 percent, and Salwa Jalaluddin Tisekar with 96.5 percent became one of the toppers in Qatar in commerce stream.
MES Indian School
Three girl students were toppers. Among 539 students who sat for the exam, Pooja Udayabhanu was the school topper with 96 percent marks, Jessica Judith Dsouza came second with 95.8 percent marks and Sruthi S Venkataraman came third with 95.4 percent marks.
Ideal Indian School
Of 225 students, 91 passed with distinctions (75 percent and above) and 191 secured first class (60 percent and above). Mohammad Saqib with 94 percent marks topped in science stream and Farrah Sadiyan topped in commerce stream with 93.6 percent marks.
Doha Modern Indian School
Ashlyn Selena D Souza from science stream was the topper with 96.6 percent and Nivedhitha Sathish Kumar topped with 90.4 percent marks in commerce stream.
