Qatar Airways issues travel alert after Brussels bombing

Doha: Qatar Airways has issued a travel alert for passengers travelling to and from Brussels on their website in wake of the multiple bombing incidents in Brussels, capital of Belgium.
The airline said on its website that there could be delay or cancelations of flights from and to Brussels.
“Qatar Airways’ flights to and from Brussels Airport may be subject to delay or cancellations following the closure of the airport.
“Passengers holding booked tickets are advised to call Qatar Airways’ 24-hour call centre on +974 4023 0000 for more information and the rebooking options being made available to them. A dedicated crisis number in Brussels is available on +32 2 506 47 11,” the statement published on the airline website said.
To view the latest flight status, passengers are asked to visit the QR website atwww.qatarairways.com.

The ealry morning flight from Doha to Brussels landed before the incident took place.
A series of apparently coordinated explosions ripped through Brussels airport and a city metro station Tuesday, killing at least 26 people in the latest attacks to target Europe.
Following the two explosions in the departure hall of Brussels airport on morning, Eurocontrol announced that the airport is closed until further notice.
Meanwhile the Brussels Airport warned fliers on its social media site through a tweet that read: "Dont come to the airport - airport is being evacuated. Avoid the airport area. Flights have been cancelled."
