Doha, Qatar: Visit Qatar hosted the first edition of the MELT Golf Classic, sponsored by global star Steve Harvey, in collaboration with OWS.
Held in Doha from January 19 to 21, 2026, the event formed part of the global MELT Golf Championship series in the presence of Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Qatar and brought together an elite gathering of international celebrities, athletes, and business leaders.
Organised in collaboration with MELT Live Events, the company owned by renowned American television host Steve Harvey, the championship reflects Visit Qatar’s strategic focus on attracting world-class international events that support tourism growth, cultural exchange, and high-value business engagement.
The event featured prominent global figures, including Steve Harvey, Marjorie Harvey, Wynton Harvey, Terry Crews, Winston Duke, Bryce Butler, Busta Rhymes, Cody Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Haden, Badou Jack and Mohamed Karim.
The event was also attended by Oweis Zahran, representing both MELT Live and OWS Capital Investments.
Hosting the MELT Golf Championship in Qatar supports Visit Qatar’s objectives to strengthen the country’s position as a leading destination for major international events and high-level global gatherings.
