Qatar participated in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), which took place from January 19 till January 21. Qatar will also take part in the International Green Week with a delegation to be chaired by Minister of Municipality and Environment H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi. It will take place from January 20 to January 29.
The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture was held this year under the subject "Agriculture and Water, Key to Feeding the World." It saw a host of experts in politics, business, science and non-governmental organisations take part. One of the panel discussions it held was on innovative approaches to efficient water use in Agriculture on the African continent.
