Doha: Ticket sale to the 2016 Qatar Total Open was launched at Total’s West Bay offices, providing the opportunity to see world’s best female players worldwide to compete in Qatar.
The prestigious tournament will take place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash complex, from February 21 to 27.
Saad Al Mohannadi, Tournament Director for Qatar Total Open, and Guillaume Chalmin, Managing Director of Total E&P Qatar, and Group Representatives, inaugurated the sales, with Guillaume expressing his delight to be supporting the tournament from the very first edition 15 years ago.
“We are honored to kick start the tournament which keeps growing in momentum year by year. It is a highlight in Qatari sporting calendar. This is a special year for us as we are celebrating our 80th year of presence in Qatar, and we have shared a strong partnership with Qatar Tennis Federation from the beginning” said Mohannadi.
For the tournament, Total will set up a booth in the public area, and is inviting the public to join them not only in the world class matches, but also off-court where they have planned a variety of activities.
Mohannadi said: “We are honored of our partnership with Total E&P Qatar, Total have been a loyal title sponsor for this world-class event for years and we have witnessed the growth of the vent together, we are so proud of what we have reached and very looking forward to more years of fruitful collaboration.”
Spectators are sure to see a tournament full of exciting matches featuring some of the world’s top players, including world number one Serena Williams, world number two Simona Halep, number three player Gabrine Muguruza and defending champion Lucie Safarova, Agneiska Rdwanska, Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova and Angelique Kerber, all among the top 10 in the world.
Tickets are now available on-online at www.qatartennis.org and starting today, they will be available at City Center mall, Landmark mall, Lagoona mall and Villaggio.
In the run up to the tournament, Total is also organizing competitions on its Facebook page TotalQatar, offering VIP tickets for the semi-final and final matches of the tournament, as well as valuable gifts in its booth competitions.
