Pongal was celebrated at MES Indian School auditorium recently. The celebration gave an opportunity for the students to understand the purpose of Pongal celebration. Tamil Elocution competition highlighting the significance of the Tamil language and the Pongal festival was organised. The winners were awarded with certificates of merit by the Principal A P Sasidharan. Mouth-watering sweet dish pongal was distributed to all the staff and students. Dr N Murali, Teacher, Department of Tamil, welcomed the gathering while Amutha Sumathi, Teacher, Department of Tamil, proposed the vote of thanks.
