Doha: Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Organising Committee of Qatar National Day (QND) H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani honoured heads of the committees, events, and entities that participated in QND events at Darb Al Saai from November 25 to December 18.
The events saw great success and strong interest from the public.
The Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Qatar National Day thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the National Day activities in Darb Al Saai, praising their courage and work ethic during a time when the country was hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He added that those who participated showed how important the Qatari identity is to its people.
During the ceremony, the Minister honoured the Qatar Center for Cultural and Heritage Events, the media committee, the sponsorship and communication committee, the military music band, the security committee, the security permits team, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, in addition to honouring all the heads of the events participating in Darb Al Saai.
The honours also included former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Voluntary Center, the Director of the Volunteer Strategy Department at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the founder of the Kind Touches Team, and the founder of the Young Volunteer Team, in addition to a group of volunteers as well.
