Brussels, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa held talks with several European foreign ministers and officials on international efforts to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to initiate recovery and reconstruction in the region.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the discussions took place on the sidelines of the Palestine Donor Conference in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

Meetings included French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas, UK Development Minister Jenny Chapman, and EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica.

Talks also addressed the need to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803 to launch the recovery and reconstruction process in Gaza, ensure unrestricted entry of aid and relief supplies, halt aggression by the occupying army and settlers in the West Bank including Jerusalem, and secure the release of withheld Palestinian funds.

Yesterday, EU Commissioner for Mediterranean Dubravka Suica announced the European Union's pledge of approximately 88 million Euros in support of the Palestinian Authority.
