The Indian Cultural Center (ICC) will be organising a cultural programme to celebrate India’s 67th Independence Day on Friday at 6.30pm at Al Rayyan Theater in Souq Waqif.

The programme will highlight a number of Indian cultural dances, Indian fashion show and skits performed by members of affiliated organisations of ICC and Indian schools.

About 1,000 people are expected to attend the event which will be inaugurated by Indian Ambassador, Sanjiv Arora.

The entry to the event is by invitation only and is free. Invitation cards are available at ICC reception on first come first served basis. The gates at the venue will open at 6pm.

To ease parking options for the attendees, the ICC management has arranged a free shuttle service from the open parking lot behind Doha Bank on the bank street to reach the venue from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. At the end of the function, same buses will be available from the venue to go back to the parking spot behind Doha Bank on the bank street. The Peninsula
