Doha, Qatar: The shares in Qatar’s stock market saw gain in yesterday’s trading as the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index surged around 128.95 points or 1.30 percent to close at 10,083.79 points.
The index concluded Sunday’s trading at 9,954.84 points. During yesterday’s session the volume of shares traded stood at 145,266,910 from 127,661,595 on June 19. Meanwhile the value of shares reached QR410.326m from QR323.047m on Sunday, as a result of implementing 51,250 deals in all sectors.
In the session, the shares of 38 companies rose, while the prices of 12 companies decreased, and six company remained unchanged.
The market capitalisation at the close of trading stood at QR604.769bn compared with QR598.015 in the previous session.
The indices of all seven sectors ended in green zone yesterday.
The indices of banks and financial services, industrials, transportation, real estate, insurance, telecoms, and consumer goods and services gained 1 percent, 0.86 percent, 0.99 percent, 0.70 percent, 1.27 percent, 3.40 percent and 0.92 percent respectively.
QSE Total Return Index gained 1.30 percent to 24,918.34, QSE Al Rayan Islamic index added 1.53 percent to 2,206.04 points, MSCI QSE 20ESG Index gained 0.90 percent to 817.46 and QE All Share Index rose 1.14 percent to 3,946.19 points
Top gainers in yesterday’s trade were National Leasing, Ooredoo, Lesha Bank (QFC), Qatar Islamic Bank, and Vodafone Qatar rising by 6.2 percent, 3.5 percent, 3.4 percent, 2.9 percent and 2.6 percent respectively.
On the other hand Al Mahhar, Islamic Isurance, Dlala, Gulf International, National Cement Company were the top losers, declining 1.7 percent, 1.1 percent, 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively.
