Doha: Aster Medical Centre, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Wellcare Group and KMCC Kozhikode District Committee is organising a ‘Care & Aware’, blood donation drive to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation, with the support of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
The campaign will be held on August 5 from 8am to 4pm at Aster Medical Centre, Industrial Area, near the foot overbridge opposite BMW service station in Street No. 1.
It will also felicitate blood donors.
Blood transfusion helps save millions of lives every year during emergencies and helps patients suffering from life-threatening conditions to live longer and with a better quality of life.
According to instructions from HMC, the donor should have more than 50kg weight, he/she should have been in Qatar for the past six months without any travel in between, should be in good health condition and should need to have six hours of sleep prior to blood donation.
‘Care and Aware’ charitable platform started in 2012 to ensure quality healthcare is accessible to all and successfully conducted many free medical camps and awareness campaigns throughout Qatar.
For details and registration, call 33043796, 74744516.
