More than 200 people were captivated and enthralled by excellent performance from the young students of MES Indian Schools at Ashoka Hall in Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) on Wednesday.

Eighty-seven students performed the thematic fusion and classical dances based on the theme “Glimpses of India” including Fusion Oppana, Fusion Thematic Dance, and Group Song.

The evening also included Bharatanatyam dance sequence by award winning artist Kum. Sindhu P Nair, who is also a well-known ‘Vazhuvoor style’ Bharatanatyam artist from Bangalore.

Later the students were felicitated with certificates and appreciation Plaques were given to MES School and Sindhu P Nair by the Managing Committee members of the Indian Cultural Centre. ICC Joint Secretary Anjan Ganguly initiated and conducted the proceedings, ICC President Manikantan AP welcomed the gathering while Cultural Secretary Nayana Wagh introduced the artists to the gathering.

The programme is a continuation of the initiative by Indian Cultural Centre to have Cultural shows on every Wednesday evening.
