DOHA: Mohamed Abdullah Al Shahwani Al Hajri, Director of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication office, said that the ministry is preparing a comprehensive study plan to determine how many pedestrian crossings are needed in the country.
Al Hajri’s statement was in reply to a proposal by Fatima Ahmed Al Kuwari, a CMC member.
Ashghal has earlier announced its plan to build 160 pedestrian crossings on a number of streets. Last year, it implemented an air-conditioned pedestrian crossing in Industrial Area.
