Dolphin Energy Qatar received the top award in the category of ‘Support for Training and Development’ at the Qatar Petroleum 2012 Annual Qatarisation Review Meeting. The event took place at St Regis Hotel on Monday and more than 43 companies in oil and gas sector participated in the event.
Adel Ahmed Albuainain, General Manager, Dolphin Energy Qatar, received the QP Crystal Award from the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.
This is the first time that Dolphin Energy Qatar has received the prestigious award.
Last year the company received the Certificate of Appreciation for the Most Improved Company in Training and Development.
Commenting on the achievement, Albuainain said: “This is a proud moment in our history and winning the award reflects the company’s commitment and dedication to offering Qataris meaningful training and development opportunities with Dolphin Energy.
“Winning the certificate of appreciation in 2012 was just the start for us and we will now work even harder in the months and years ahead to enhance our Qatarisation programme, develop young talented Qataris and support the strategy behind the Qatar Vision 2030 in the process.”
The company has registered the Qatari workforce at 32 percent, representing a growth of more than 7 percent compared with the same period last year.
“Receiving this award is a great achievement for the entire organization and is the direct result of the robust Qatarisation strategy we have in place,” Albuainain said.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to every Dolphin Energy employee, with special thanks to the nationalisation team,” he added.
