Doha: Doha Modern Indian School (DMIS) hosted a series of career awareness and motivational sessions for the students of Grade 9 and above from March 7 to 11 through zoom platform.
The series of sessions were unique and unprecedented in the history of DMIS and inspired and encouraged students to think differently and aspire for the best.
The session speakers’ list included clinical dietitian, cosmetic dentist, IIM financialist, ex-IAF officer, editor-cum-architect journalist, fisheries researcher to space research scientist.
"The series of sessions were hosted by DMIS under the stewardship of student council body 2020-21 and had a huge impact and influence on the aspiring students," a school representative said.
The speakers spoke and shared their personal experiences, possible challenges, myriad options available in each category, clear academic choices and institutional details in the most professional and updated lines.
"DMIS feels highly elated, honoured and exclusively privileged to showcase these series of sessions by such accomplished professionals who had already left an edge of stardom in their respective fields. Besides adding information /ideas on umpteen potential avenues that await the youngsters across globe, the speakers also urged the youngsters to be passionate & committed and go beyond imagination," school said in a statement.
DMIS thanked Dr Al Sheikh Ziauddin, Dentist, Naseem Al Rabeeh Qatar, Dr Rafeek Basheer, Cosmetic Dentist, Leila Hamid Dental Centre, Aishwarya Ravishankar, Clinical Dietitian, MVR Cancer and Research Centre, Vinod Chandran, Academician, Founder and Director of MyLogic, Leela Shaju, Ex-Indian Air Force Officer & Trainer, Sindhu Nair, Editor and Creator at Scale Qatar and Architect, Dr Muktha M, Shark Biologist, Scientist at Visakhapatnam Regional Centre of ICAR and K Rajendran, former Deputy Director- RLV Project at ISRO for addressing the sessions.
