DOHA: Ezdan Holding Group has given QR1m to the General Directorate of Civil Defence in an event at Ezdan headquarters to support it in its public awareness programmes and activities in the field of culture.
Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman, Board of Directors, Ezdan Holding Group, handed the cheque to Staff-Brigadier Abdullah Mohamed Al Suwaidi, Director-General, Civil Defence, in the presence of Brigadier Aman Saad Al Sulaiti, Assistant. Director-General, and Major Hussain Aman Al Ali, Assistant Director, Fire Prevention Department yesterday.
Staff-Brigadier Al Suwaidi praised Ezdan for support and said it would reflect positively on Civil Defence’s public awareness campaigns.
He said Ezdan is supporting all important activities which serve the Qatari society such as Darb Al Aman, which is one of the important public awareness projects launched by Civil Defence.
Spreading the culture of safety and security in society and enhancing it in all ministries and social institutions is a priority of Civil Defence, he added.
Sheikh Dr Khalid said Ezdan is keen to support the Ministry of Interior’s activities, especially those of Civil Defence to serve society.
He also appreciated humanitarian efforts made by Civil Defence said these contribute to saving lives and properties.The Peninsula
