Ideal Indian School observed French Day recently to honour the teaching of French as a second language in the school. In the Junior Section, students presented songs, speeches, action songs and poems to mark the day. French teacher Kheira anchored the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Junior section Headmistress Shobhana Menon emphasised the importance of learning French as a foreign language. Students of the Boys and Girls sections jointly celebrated French Day. Students from classes V to X presented dance, songs and skits, which centred on the culture and traditions of France.
S Vidhyashanker, headmaster, Padma Ramaswamy, headmistress, Nasima Bi, assistant headmistress, Girls Section, and Azam Khan, assistant headmaster, Boys Section, attended the programme. Chabia and Fania coordinated the programme. The head of the French Department, Sunil U T, presided over the function.
