Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held yesterday a telephone conversation with H E President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, during which he congratulated him on his election as President of the Republic of Iraq, wishing His Excellency success and the Iraqi people further progress and prosperity.
H H the Amir also held telephone conversation with Prime Minister-designate of the Republic of Iraq H E Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, congratulating him on his assignment as the head of the next Iraqi government, wishing him success in his role.
During the calls, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing and developing them, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.
