DOHA: A new civil defence centre under construction in Al Wakrah is expected to open during the second quarter of next year.
The total area of the centre is around 130,00 square meters. The three-storey building will have a car park in its basement within a space of 5,000 square meters, and other facilities, including a building for maintenance, Al Sharq reports.
The centre is part of projects being developed in Al Wakrah and other new civil defence centres across the country.
The Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Logistics and Supplies signed a contract in June last year with Nawras Engineering Company for the construction of the centre in Al Wakrah.
