DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) organised safety and security awareness programmes in collaboration with Community Police at Aspire Zone. The female personnel of Community Police educated the participants (women and children) about the safety and security in homes.
Housewives were also given tips for fire prevention. They were asked to switch off air conditioners while leaving homes whether for shopping or other work in Qatar or abroad.
Housewives were also taught how to deal with emergency cases like fire in the kitchen and how to secure their homes while they travelled. Pictures of home fires and damage were also showed. Social responsibility was also discussed.
Participants were urged to cooperate with Community Police to maintain the law and order in the country. Stories about cooperation of people with Community Police were narrated. It was also explained how a housewife could play her role in informing when she faces any problem at her home or her neighbour’s home. The participants were given prizes.
