The silver ion filter can combine, destroy protein of bacteria and disturb the composing of DNA of bacterial and microorganism to keep the room air fresh and healthy.
When the unit is switched off the auto clean feature automatically dries the remaining water in the evaporator and keeps the unit from mildew, and turns off automatically after three minutes.
When the power is off the unit restores the previous function setting and restarts automatically. The evaporator and condenser use a special hydrophilic aluminium gold fin that enables the unrestricted flow of condensed water between fins to improve cooling efficiency.
An auto diagnosis feature monitors any abnormal operations or parts failure with the microcomputer switching off the AC and automatically protecting the system.
It also displays the protection code error on the indoor unit. This helps in the technician quickly identifying the problem in case one arises. The evaporator uses an inner grooved copper tube, which increases the heat-exchanged area, resulting in the AC to have better cooling efficiency and higher EER.
With 3D airflow technology the air is blown to every corner of the room to cool it quickly for a more comfortable feel.
The AC uses R410-A gas that has very superior ozone depleting factor of 0.00 compared to 0.055 in R22 Gas. R410A gas can absorb and release heat more than R22. Due to this, the compressor runs cooler, reducing the risk of overheating and burnout. R410A gas uses more soluble synthetic oils and operates more efficiently, reducing the energy cost, wear and tear on the compressor for a more reliable and efficient operation. This also meets the energy efficiency ratings as per Qatar’s standards.
The Edge series is available with features like gold fin, 3D air flow, auto clean, auto start, R410-A gas, digital display, all in a stylish new design. They are available in 1.5-tonne capacity with a five-star rating and a 2-tonne capacity with a six-star rating designed as per Qatar’s new standards for energy efficiency.
