NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged opposition parties to move forward on the land bill and said that the government is ready to discuss all issues.

"Parliament has a major significance and it should be utilized to discuss all issues. Government is ready to discuss all issues, " PM Modi said at an all-party meeting ahead of monsoon session.

"We should move forward on land bill," PM Modi added.

Earlier defending the govt's stand BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, "Our PM has said that we are ready to discuss all the issues being talked about inside the Parliament."

The monsoon session of Parliament is likely to be stormy, with both the government and the opposition sticking to their guns.

The BJP has hinted that it will counter the opposition onslaught aggressively, while the Congress has said that it will continue to insist for resignation of scam-tainted leaders.

BJP has accused the Congress of politicsing the Vyapam scam and said that this case is under the purview of the Supreme Court.

"The Vyapam case is in the purview of court. If the Congress still makes hue and cry on it means they just want to play politics on issue," said BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi. Agencies
