DOHA: The Traffic Department has launched a three-day awareness campaign to improve road safety and reduce accidents, Al Sharq reports.
There will be no fine imposed for minor traffic violations during the campaign and motorists will receive Eid greetings.
The campaign aims to make motorists aware about common traffic violations so they do not repeat them in future.
The department said the government is not interested in collecting money through fines but using them as a deterrent to ensure all road users’ safety.

DOHA: Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has announced the opening of its sixth Jamocha Café at Hamad International Airport’s latest activity node on Concourse C.
The café concept, created by QDF to offer passengers a unique experience, has five outlets around the airport. The sixth is forecast to be the busiest due its prime location near the gates in Concourse C of the airport’s south node. “Jamocha has become a preferred brand for many of our guests since the opening of our first branch in 2014,” said Keith Hunter, Senior Vice-President, QDF. “By opening a sixth outlet we hope to give more passengers the opportunity to try the fair trade coffee with homemade sandwiches and snacks.”
