Dr. Khalid Al-Shafi, Editor-in-Chief, The Peninsula, received Spanish Ambassador to Qatar, Ignacio Escober, at his office and briefed him on the evolution of the newspaper. Ambassador Escobar praised the progress the newspaper has witnessed and expressed willingness to bolster cooperation with the newspaper, especially as Qatar is home to a community of about 4,500 Spaniards and over 100 companies.
