New York: Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations H E Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani met with Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) of the United Nations H E Natalia Gherman.
During the meeting, they discussed means of bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the CTED of the United Nations.
During the meeting, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations extended congratulations to the Executive Director on her new post, pointing out the solid and developing partnership between the State of Qatar and the CTED. She also expressed aspiration to continue boosting the positive and constructive partnership between the two sides to devote efforts toward combating terrorism and violent extremism.
H E Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani also met separately with US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and Human Rights H E Rina Amiri.
During the meeting, they discussed situation developments in Afghanistan and ways to support the rights of Afghan women, especially their right to education.
