Moscow: Russia's Ministry of Defence said Friday that Ukrainian forces had suffered nearly 7,000 casualties over the past week during military operations across multiple frontlines.

In its weekly report on developments in Ukraine, the ministry said that between February 14 and 20, Russian forces carried out a series of large-scale airstrikes targeting Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, energy and fuel infrastructure, missile and artillery depots, as well as production and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Since the start of the conflict in February 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have issued frequent battlefield updates and casualty figures. However, claims made by the two sides cannot be independently verified due to the ongoing fighting.
