Milan: Brazilian midfielder Allan has been sidelined by Napoli for up to three weeks with a suspected adductor muscle injury, the Serie A club said Monday.

Allan, who joined Napoli from Udinese in 2015, is set to miss games against Atalanta, Roma and Crotone in the league as well as the return leg of a Champions League last 16 clash against Real Madrid.

"Allan has a suspected first grade adductor muscle injury. More scans will be carried out tomorrow (Tuesday)," the club said on Twitter.

"He is expected to return to competition in three weeks."

Napoli, eight points behind leaders Juventus in the race for the Serie A title, ordered a media blackout following their 3-1 defeat to Real in the Spanish capital last Wednesday.
