Doha: Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development, will organize on Monday a symposium on the life and contributions of Muslim philosopher and scientist Ibn Sina (Avicenna).
A number of guests interested in philosophy and Islamic history will attend the symposium which will provide the attendees with an opportunity to learn about one of the most famous and influential thinkers in the world, whose contributions exceeded the limits of the Islamic world.
The seminar will also address the life of Ibn Sina; a reminder of a golden age for the Islamic world. A number of leading experts will talks about his life and work, and will list his great contibutions to human civilization and his academic exploits.
Ibn Sina is known for his significant contributions in astronomy, logic, medicine, music, philosophy, physics, poetry, psychology.
