Imagine the thrill of a young child from Qatar standing beside their football hero and hearing the roar of the crowd in front of millions of fans at the FIFA World Cup! Well now they have a chance to enter and win at their local McDonald’s.
The restaurant is giving two budding young football fans the opportunity to win a once in a lifetime chance to experience the game first hand this year in Brazil through the Player Escort Program. The lucky winners will travel to Brazil with their parents as part of this exciting opportunity.
Football fans ages eight to ten-years old can sign up to the “Shoot & Score” competition at McDonald’s Suhaim Bin Hamad branch for three consecutive Fridays on February 21, 28 and March 4. Their names will then be entered into a draw for their chance to win and lucky winners will be announced on March 14.
“For young football fans there can be nothing more exciting than accompanying their favourite player onto the pitch at the world’s biggest football tournament,” said Kamal Saleh Al Mana, Managing Director of Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co, and the owner and operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Qatar.
“McDonald’s has been sponsoring grassroots sports for more than 25 years. We are extremely excited to be able to offer children in Qatar the thrill of a live World Cup at one of the most highly anticipated sports events of the year. McDonald’s Qatar is keen to contribute to the community where its employees live and work, and has been always a supporter of promoting active lifestyles,” he finishes.
