Doha: Two envoys have said that Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup has been a global success and this year is historic for the country.
Italian Ambassador to Qatar, H E Ambassador Paolo Toschi and Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar, H E Ridwan Hassan, said this yesterday on the occasion of the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Qatar National Day.
Ambassador Toschi said: “This has been a historic year for Qatar, hosting the FIFA Championship, the first in the Arab world, it was a global success which Italy was proud to support. Congratulations Qatar and Happy National Day.”
The Indonesian envoy said: “Congratulations and our best wishes and salutations on the occasion of Qatar National Day which this year coincides with Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup.
“Convinced with its success and we wish for Qatar further progress and prosperity and that the relationship between Qatar and Indonesia would continue to exist endlessly.”
