Putin calls Amir, congratulates on hosting World Cup

Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from President of the Russian Federation H E Vladimir Putin.

The Russian President congratulated Qatar for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, wishing the Qatari team success in the tournament.

H H the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Russian President for his congratulations and wishes for success of Qatar in hosting the tournament, praising Russia’s cooperation in organising this global event. 

Meanwhile, H H the Amir yesterday visited the International Broadcast Centre and Main Media Centre for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), Amiri Diwan said in a tweet.
