Doha: Close on the heels of Children’s Day along with the Diwali celebration on November 12, the Kindergarten section at Birla Public School (BPS) organised a special assembly with gaiety and fervor on virtual platform.
This day which is also the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, is celebrated as a tribute to him. He was known for his relentless effort to increase awareness of the rights, care, and education of children.
It was a fun-filled day for the students. The teachers made the day special, as they had a lot of fun-filled activities and videos lined for them.
The students enjoyed the entertaining animation videos on the life of Jawaharlal Nehru and how Diwali is celebrated. Students expressed their excitement as it was entertainment on the whole for them.
Each class celebrated the event with extreme gusto filled with music, dance, colouring activity, and some sweets to munch on. Students were elated to see one of their peers dressed as Chacha Nehru and gave a speech.
It was a wonderful, colourful, and expressive day where smiling faces and joyful songs filled the air. Thus, the whole day turned to be a day for enjoyment and enlightenment as there is no garden as beautiful as childhood.
