As part of the Personalized Guidance Programme, the Counselling and Career Guidance Cell of Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) organised a career orientation webinar series for Classes 9-12.
The event titled, ‘Exploring Career Possibilities; Travel through the experience of SIS Alumni’ was a webinar series that included three sessions to cover diverse career prospects and courses of studies.
SIS alumni members working in different fields in Qatar, India, UK, South Africa, and Canada guided the students through their experiences.
Panelists who shared their experiences across various fields were; Sara Mathews, Shahinas Shahul, Ashique Sunil Kumar, Tahseen Syed, Tharini Salomi S D, Suhaim Najeeb, Nanditha Rajesh, Marwa Salah, Naveen Kelvin, Kelinton Edmond, Pooja Thakrar, Altamash Moazzam Mahatae, Adhil Arshad, Salwa Jalaludeen, Amy Susan Rison and Gracen Yesudas.
The sessions covered the educational and career opportunities in Engineering, Medicine, Business and Accounting, Biochemistry, Animation, Psychology, Aviation, Transportation Design, and Fashion Design.
They further oriented the students with the admission processes and requirements in different universities in Qatar, India, and other international universities.
The Sessions were highly insightful as the students learned from the first-hand experiences of their Alumni and understood the diverse career options ahead of them.
SIS Principal Dr. Subhash B. Nair expressed his gratitude to the alumni members for sharing their valuable ideas.
