Q-Chem officials and staff members at the blood donation drive, yesterday.
Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem), in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), successfully organised a blood donation drive yesterday at the company’s headquarters in Doha. The initiative is part of Q-Chem’s continual support for local communities.
A fully equipped mobile blood donation unit was deployed to Q-Chem for the community initiative along with a team of medical specialists. The donation started at 8 am and continued throughout the day, this drive saw great success with a huge turnout from Q-Chem employees, contractors and other company employees working in Amwal Tower.
All involved expressed their satisfaction on the noble cause and highlighted the importance of donation to increase the blood bank supplies and save the lives of those in need.
Blood donation and volunteering are in line with Q-Chem’s corporate good citizenship. Q-Chem organises blood donation annually at its multiple locations. Nasser Jeham Al Kuwari, Q-Chem’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Through this campaign, we are very proud of our staff who spearheaded this initiative and would like to thank all those who stepped forward enthusiastically to donate blood. We also extend our gratitude to Hamad Medical Corporation for their invaluable support in organizing the campaign and which has become an integral part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.”
