DOHA: Al Daayen Municipality, in collaboration with Ras Laffan Programme for social networking, honoured 70 students who won a competition held as part of Tree Week.
The two-month contest ended with a ceremony at Simaisma Youth Centre under the theme ‘Al Daayen Is A Green Oasis’. About 3,200 students from 11 schools took part in the competition, and every first winner received an iPad. The competition aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of planting trees, especially Al Sidr.
